LEGO DC Comics sets

LEGO's entire DC wave is aiming at a single horizon: the movies! You build the Batman Logo and its two minifigures, reserved for builders aged 12 and up, then you line up three Batmobiles and their minifigures to measure how far the Dark Knight's ride has come, from the streamlined fins of Batman & Robin to the armored bodywork of Batman v Superman, through to the muscle car of The Batman with its exposed rear engine. Three eras, three silhouettes, one same car to compare!

Between sets inspired by the movie The Batman, released that same year, and new ranges dedicated to the franchise, we applaud the innovation of these LEGO DC Comics 2022 sets! Follow Selina Kyle on her motorcycle through the city streets, then head back to the Batcave to fend off the Riddler before sharpening your mechanical skills with the first LEGO Technic Batman set. Light-up bricks, moving pistons, working steering - the Batmobile has been modernized but still looks great! Finally, budding artists will enjoy trying their hand at recreating three portraits in LEGO Art, and bringing a little of artist Jim Lee's distinctive visual style into their home.

A year rich in lovely retro pieces, since beyond the 1989 collector's Batwing, the LEGO DC Comics 2020 sets offer us two Wonder Woman sets directly inspired by the 1984 classic, staging the clash between the warrior and Cheetah. For the rest, the missions keep coming for Batman. Race to your mobile base and equip yourself with the special vehicles that will let you stop the Penguin and the Joker in their respective pursuits!

A remote-controlled Batmobile: the LEGO DC Comics 2018 ball opens in grand style! Controlled by an app from a tablet or smartphone, it joins the Caped Crusader's ultra-advanced gadgets in his clashes against Brother Eye or the Talons sent by the Court of Owls. And since this year also marks the theatrical release of the Aquaman movie, the Danish brand invites us to dive into the depths to neutralize Black Manta's submarine, along with a figure of the king of the oceans, perfect for expanding the BrickHeadz range!

From the chase after Harley Quinn to the showdown with Killer Croc in the sewers, Batman is definitely front and center with the LEGO DC Comics 2016 sets! This year's impressive Batcave is even inspired by the classic 1966 television series and surprises with its amazing accuracy. Outdoor climbing wall, Bruce Wayne's office, secret passage behind the bookcase, nothing has been forgotten! For a change of pace, the small Mighty Micros vehicles also make their appearance, along with the franchise's first figure duos, reimagined BrickHeadz style!

It's fair to say the villains don't lack originality in the Caped Crusader's universe. The Joker has gone for a crazy steamroller to destroy the city, the Riddler for a dragster able to launch bombs, while the Penguin has taken his place in a curious duck-shaped vessel. None of which discourages Batman, who also reveals the full extent of his vehicle collection in the LEGO DC Comics 2014 sets. The adventures continue in LEGO Duplo for ages 2-5 too, including a mini showdown between Batman and Catwoman!

Funhouse Escape, Two-Face Chase in the Batmobile, Batwing Battle over Gotham City... The LEGO DC Comics 2024 sets leave center stage to the legendary Dark Knight, who also appears as a maxi figure in a super-powered suit, alongside the main antagonist of his story. Superman still manages to slip into the lineup to face Lex Luthor in battle armor, as does Green Lantern, who this year gets one of the rare sets dedicated to the bearer of the power ring!
