Kattegat wakes up on the edge of the fjord, longships lined up on the shore with their prows turned west! Created by Michael Hirst and launched on History in 2013, the series follows the rise of Ragnar Lothbrok, a stubborn farmer turned king, who prefers the unknown of the open sea to the fruitless raids led to the east. Around him gravitate the formidable warrior Lagertha, his brother Rollo gnawed by ambition, Floki the boat builder enlightened by the gods, and the monk Athelstan, torn from the abbey of Lindisfarne and then torn between his God and his own people. Then come the sons, Bjorn and Ivar the Boneless, who carry the saga on in blood and rivalry, while the temple of Uppsala and the promise of Valhalla watch over every oath sworn. All this imagery of axes, ravens and destinies written by the gods lives on in collectible figures, where every warrior of Kattegat eventually finds a place of their own!
