First rule of Fight Club: you do not talk about Fight Club! Born from Chuck Palahniuk's acid pen in 1996 and then brought to the screen by David Fincher in 1999, the story follows a nameless insomniac employee, played by Edward Norton, who drags his boredom between Swedish furniture catalogs and support groups where he has no business being. His meeting with Tyler Durden, a soap salesman in a red leather jacket and self-proclaimed prophet played by Brad Pitt, throws him into smoky basements where people fight each other to finally feel alive. Around them orbit Marla Singer, the run-down house on Paper Street and a Project Mayhem that very quickly spills out of the basement. The film has lost none of its charge, and the basement keeps expanding, from Palahniuk's novels to the comic books that extend the story, not forgetting the figures that come to taunt neatly arranged shelves!
