A red and white striped hat poking out of a dense crowd, and the hunt begins again! Since 1987, British illustrator Martin Handford has been hiding Wally and his round glasses in the middle of images saturated with tiny details and false leads. He did not stay the only one in hiding for long: the following books added Woof the dog, of whom you can only spot the striped tail, his friend Wenda, the wizard Whitebeard and his rival Odlaw, all in yellow and black. The search does not even stop at the characters, since you still have to track down the lost key, Woof's bone or the wizard's scroll. Translated into dozens of languages, this observation game led to an animated series as early as 1991. And the hunt never runs out of steam: there is always another crowded page to scan, another of Wally's companions to pick out from the tide of passersby and one last object to bring to light!
