Thunder rumbles above Asgard and Mjolnir falls back into the blond god's palm! Created in 1962 by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, who drew on Norse mythology, Thor gave Marvel comics their most thunderous deity. Son of Odin and adoptive brother of Loki, he travels the Bifrost, the rainbow bridge linking the realms, armed with a hammer forged from uru. Cinema took hold of him in 2011 under the camera of Kenneth Branagh, with Chris Hemsworth facing Tom Hiddleston's Loki and Anthony Hopkins' Odin, before Taika Waititi turned the saga flamboyant with Ragnarok in 2017. Between the warrior Sif, the guardian Heimdall and the relentless Hela, the Asgardian court lacks neither flair nor grudges. And in front of the sections devoted to the god of thunder, the old condition set by Odin still holds: only a worthy hand closes its fingers around Mjolnir!
