Four kids bundled up at a bus stop buried under the snow: that is where the worst days in South Park begin, a fictional town set in the Colorado Rockies! Since 1997 on Comedy Central, Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been following Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman and Kenny McCormick, killed in almost every episode of the first five seasons. The cut-paper look, inherited from the first short films, remains the signature of a satire that shies away from no target: Cartman yells his "Respect my authoritah" while Randy Marsh turns the slightest whim into a municipal disaster. An episode is wrapped up in barely six days, delivered to the channel a few hours before broadcast: enough to bounce off the news while it is still hot. Brought to the big screen in 1999, this cheeky tone is made in a rush but can be collected at leisure: POP figures of the four troublemakers, Kenny plush toys and mugs place South Park well beyond the TV set!
