Soul collection

A solo that finally takes off, a wide-open manhole, and Joe Gardner is thrown out of his own life at the exact moment jazz was opening its arms to him! This 2020 Pixar feature film, directed by Pete Docter and Kemp Powers, sends the middle school music teacher into the Great Before, that pastel territory where souls receive their personality under the care of counselors who all share the same name. There Joe becomes the mentor of 22, a reluctant soul who refuses to go down to Earth, and the duo races through New York, she in the musician's body, he stuck in a cat's. Between the Half Note club, saxophonist Dorothea Williams and Jon Batiste's jazz compositions, Soul makes a very simple question swing: what if living were enough? The POP figures of Joe and 22 keep that question in plain sight on your shelves!
