Shazam! collection

A teenager passed from foster home to foster home shouts the wizard's name, lightning strikes and Billy Batson gives way to a colossus in a red suit, white cape and golden lightning bolt! Whiz Comics welcomed him as early as 1940 at Fawcett Comics, where Bill Parker wrote him and C.C. Beck drew his face under the name Captain Marvel, before the champion moved under the DC banner and took on the name Shazam. Six letters, six mythological patrons granted at the Rock of Eternity, from the wisdom of Solomon to the speed of Mercury. All the flavor lies in the gap between the muscles of a demigod and the clumsiness of a kid backed by his foster brother Freddy Freeman, while Doctor Sivana, the telepathic worm Mister Mind and Black Adam watch for a weak spot. David F. Sandberg brought it all to the screen in 2019 with Zachary Levi in the costume. And saying the six letters remains the most direct way to summon an entire pantheon right in the middle of a collection!
