Skin bleached by the ashes of his family and blades chained to his forearms, the Ghost of Sparta wears his guilt as armor! Created by David Jaffe at Santa Monica Studio and unleashed on PlayStation 2 in 2005, Kratos swears revenge on Ares, the god of war who manipulated him into killing his own family, before turning his fury against all of Olympus. In 2018, the saga shifts to the nine Norse realms: the Spartan takes up the Leviathan Axe and crosses Midgard with his son Atreus. This reinvention by Cory Barlog replaces carnage with transmission and takes the game of the year title. God of War Ragnarök closes the Scandinavian chapter in 2022, facing Odin and the twilight of the gods. The PlayStation installments, the comic books and the novels then extend the hunt through the pantheons, and the Funko POP figures give a face to that icy rage!
