Until the night when Mack falls asleep at the wheel and loses him in the middle of the desert, at the edge of Radiator Springs, a Route 66 town that the highway wiped off the map and whose neon signs buzz while waiting for someone! Sentenced to repave the road he has just torn up, the racing star meets Mater the dented tow truck, Sally Carrera and old Doc Hudson, a champion that racing had put away in the garage. In 2006, under the guidance of John Lasseter, Pixar created an entire world without a single human, where everything plays out at bumper height. Cars 2 in 2011 and then Cars 3 in 2017 extend the route all the way to the duel with the ultra high-tech Jackson Storm. And number 95 keeps repaving his asphalt in LEGO bricks, set after set, on the living room rug!
