An inventor ant who breaks everything he touches, an overwhelmed princess and a troupe of performers recruited by mistake: with this, in 1998, Pixar delivered one of its most mischievous fables! On the colony's island, the harvest invariably ends up down the throats of Hopper's grasshoppers, and it takes Flik's clumsy boldness to turn the tables. Off he goes to find warriors in the big city, from which he actually brings back the out-of-work performers of P.T. Flea's circus: Heimlich the greedy caterpillar, Francis the touchy ladybug, Slim the stick insect doomed to play sticks and Manny, praying mantis and magician by trade. Between the fake bird built out of leaves and little Dot's wide-eyed wonder, the studio with the lamp's second feature film is a reminder that a colony that stands up for itself is worth more than an army.
